This formula is inspired by the Truly - Vanilla Baby Shimmer Body Butter, but I made a Natural version. (Substitute suggestions may or may not be)
Batch size calculator for the recipe is attached at the bottom of page along with the PDF blog you can print.

Formula;
Phase A
0.1% Xanthan Gum Soft
5% Glycerin
Phase B
70.8% Distilled Water
0.1% Sodium Phytate
Phase C
3% Stearic Acid
4% Glyceryl Stearate SE - (active in pH between 5.5 - 8)
0.5% Bakuchiol Pure 99% - (active in pH below 6.5)
Phase D
1% Distilled Water
1% Niacinamide (learn more HERE)
0.5% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C) - (active in pH between 3-6)
1% Euxyl K 900 (INCI: Benzyl Alcohol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin)
2% Vanilla Fragrance (I used Marshmallow Creme from NaturalBulkSupplies.com)
1% Mica Shimmer (I used 0.5% Sparkle Plenty & 0.5% Sparkle Me Gold)
Directions;
In a heat safe and sanitized container mix together the phase A ingredients to make a slurry.
In a heat safe and sanitized container mix together the phase B ingredients until the powder dissolves.
Pour phase A into phase B while mixing.
Tare scale and place phase A/B back on the scale. Write down how much phase A/B weighs. (Including the beakers weight too) We will be heating this up and some of the water is going to evaporate, we will need to replace this water after it’s been heated.
In a separate sanitized heat safe container, combine all ingredients in phase C.
Cover phase A/B & C with foil and place in a water bath. (How to make water bath: Fill a pan with about an inch of water and place it over your stove top on medium heat.)
Heat until phase C has melted and both phases are around the same temperature. 70°C/158°F
Remove phase A/B from heat and place on scale and replace any water that evaporated. Normally it's about 1 gram or less.
Remove phase C from heat and pour phase A/B into phase C.
Immediately mix with an Immersion Blender/stick blender. Let Cool (don’t mix with immersion blender once it starts to thicken. This can add too much air into the emulsion)
While your emulsion cools we can work on phase D
In another sanitized beaker combine all ingredients in phase D starting with the distilled water and Niacinamide. Mix until the Niacinamide dissolves, then you can add in the rest of the phase D ingredients.
Once the emulsion has cooled to 104°F / 40°C add in the phase D ingredients and mix. (Don’t mix with the immersion blender, only hand mix)
Check the pH. It should be between 5.5 - 6
Let cool to room temperature and then cover with Plastic Wrap and let sit overnight.
The next day you can package your body butter in your jar of choice. These are the jars I used

Substitutes;
Distilled Water - Hydrosol, Floral Water, Essence Water, or Aloe Vera Liquid
Sodium Phytate - I don’t know of other ecocert approved chelating agents. Disodium EDTA would work, but it isn’t Ecocert.
Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - any oil of choice (a light weight oil will produce the best results)
Glyceryl Stearate SE - Ritamulse SCG, Emulsifying Wax NF, Olivem 1000, Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG 100 Stearate, or any other all in one emulsifier. May need to change percentage amount.
Niacinamide - no sub, you can leave out
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C) - Vitamin C (L-ascorbyl palmitate)
Euxyl k 900 (INCI: Benzyl Alcohol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin) - - Euxyl K 903, Geogard 221 or Tristate Eco if you want to stay ecocert. Otherwise Liquid Germall Plus, Optiphen Plus, or Euxyl PE 9010 will work. Make sure the preservative works between 5.5-6
