40 g Witch Hazel Hydrosol
40 g Lavender Hydrosol
10 g Propanediol
Phase B
Directions;
In a sanitized container, combine all ingredients in phase A and mix.
In a sanitized container, combine all ingredients in phase B and mix. (If you want to add fragrance or essential oil, you’d add it here)
Slowly pour phase B into A while mixing until fully incorporated.
Check and adjust pH to 4.5 - 5.5.
Let sit overnight to let foam settle before pouring into bottle. I used this 2 oz Foaming Pump Bottles.

Witch Hazel Hydrosol - helps tone the skin. is astringent and soothing. has tightening effects and balancing properties.
Lavender Hydrosol - great for balancing dry or oily skin types. serves as a lovely fragrance in products and is a great ingredient to help soothe the skin.
Propanediol - is a natural, green, propylene glycol alternative derived from corn sugar, used as a humectant, hair and skin conditioner, preservative booster, and solvent with a light, non-sticky, slightly dry skin feel.moisturizes the skin and helps alleviate the greasiness some may find that glycerin causes
Willow Bark Extract slightly exfoliates skin. enhances cell turnover, act as a natural anti-microbial agent. is an anti-inflammatory and an analgesic agent
Liquid Germall Plus - preservative
Sodium C-14 C-16 Alpha Olefin Sulfonate (AOS 40) - anionic liquid surfactant that offers wonderful foaming and mildness. Is a perfect alternative to sulfates without having to sacrifice lather. (ph: 7 - 8.5)
Decyl Glucoside - nonionic liquid surfactant that is gentle and mild. Pairs great with an anionic surfactant. (pH: 11.5-12.5)
Glyceryl Oleate - is a re-fatting agent and can be found in our hair lipids and skin lipids. It can help improve surfactant systems by subsiding the drying effect that can sometimes occur. Makes surfactant systems more soft, conditioning luxurious, and gentle.
Substitutes;

Liquid Germall Plus - any water soluble preservative; e.g. optiphen ND, optiphen plus, euxyl PE 9010, geogard ECT, Geogard 221, Euxyl K 903, Tristate Eco, etc. Make sure you adjust the pH accordingly and if the preservative doesn’t mix into water well, add in into phase B
Sodium C-14 C-16 Alpha Olefin Sulfonate (AOS 40) - DLS (Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate), foaming soy, foaming oats, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, or other liquid surfactant of choice. Anionic would work best.
Glyceryl Oleate - this is the only refatting agent I've used, so you can try a different one, but I'm not sure how it will turn out in comparison. E.g FSS Sucrose Cocoate
