15% Isohexadecane
10.7% Squalane
2% Oil Soluble Extract of Choice. I used Coffee Extract
0.5% Vitamin E
1% Fragrance Oil (I used Vanilla Sugar, but I can’t find it from the supplier anymore)
0.8% Sparkle Sunshine
100 gram Recipe
30 g Ethylhexyl Palmitate
15 g Isohexadecane
11.5 g Squalane
10 g Macadamia Nut Oil
2 g Oil Soluble Extract of Choice. I used Coffee Extract
0.5 g Vitamin E

0.8 grams of Sparkle Sunshine
Directions;
In a sanitized container, combine & mix all ingredients except for the Silica Dimethyl Silylate
Once they are combine you need to put on a Respirator before adding in the Silica Dimethyl Silylate.
The Silica Dimethyl Silylate can be hard to mix in, but keep gently mixing it and the Silica Dimethyl Silylate will eventually incorporate with the rest of the ingredients.
Once the Silica Dimethyl Silylateis all mixed in, it will look chunky. This is normal. Cover and let sit for a few hours or overnight. Depends on how large of a batch you made. The larger the batch, the longer the Silica Dimethyl Silylate will take to dissolve.
Once there are no more chunks you can give the product a good mix. Now add in your shimmer of choice. I used Sparkle Sunshine from madmica.com but . Mix well.
Pour into desired bottle. I used this 1 oz Clear Glass Dropper Bottle
How to use; Drop a few drops of body shimmer on skin and rub in. Use as much as desired.
Benefits of Each Ingredient;
Ethylhexyl Palmitate - light weight emollient that provides a silky skin feel
Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - moisturizes the skin but doesn’t feel heavy or too greasy. It’s a light weight “none oily” oil
Isohexadecane - light weight emollient with a light silky skin feel
Squalane - non-greasy oil soluble emollient that is capable of mixing with sebum present on the skin. This may help reduce the viscosity of sebum to minimize its greasy feel. this is a light weight clear oil with no odor.
Macadamia Nut Oil - natural plant oil that is light weight
Coffee Extract - contains antioxidant, can help with overall skin tone and soothe skin.
Vitamin C (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) - an oil soluble ester of vitamin C that is much more stable than L-ascorbic acid.
Vitamin E - antioxidant
Silica Dimethyl Silylate - Thickener
Sparkle Sunshine - adds shimmer
Substitutes;
Ethylhexyl Palmitate - any oil of choice
Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - any oil of choice
Isohexadecane - any oil of choice
Squalane - any oil of choice
Macadamia Nut Oil - any oil of choice
Coffee Extract - any oil soluble extract
Vitamin E - no sub, but you can leave out
Sparkle Sunshine - any skin safe shimmery mica of choice. Check out madmica for ethically sourced mica powder
