Face oils are perfect for facial massages and using a gua sha. I try to give myself regular facials and the product I normally use is the blossom ingrown hair oil I used to sell. Which sounds weird, but don't worry, all the ingredients in it are safe to use on the face too and will actually benefit the skin. But there were some things I wanted to change in the formula to make it formulated specifically for the face. I also just recently did a sponsorship with Bramble Berry and I made a cream with Bakuchi Oil and fell in love with it! So I really wanted to make a facial oil with it. So here we are. I hope you like the formula, because my face has been loving this.

Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient
Bakuchi Oil - Bakuchi Oil contains essential fatty acids and contains 3-5% bakuchiol. Bakuchiol has claimed the title “natural alternative to retinol” without having any of the negatives associated with retinol like irritation. Bakuchiol can help keep skin soft and healthy looking and has been said to help with signs of aging, stimulate collage, and improve skin tone.
Papaya Oil - high in vitamins A, C, & E. helps firm skin remove blemishes and even skin tone.
Watermelon Oil - has moisturizing regenerating and restoring properties. It is a very light weight oil and quick absorbing.
Rosehip Seed Oil - Trans-retinoic acid is a natural form of vitamin A naturally found in rosehip seed oil. vitamin A has been found to help treat acne along with signs of aging.
FSS Lemon Oil - said to help enhance, the glow, clarity, and overall appearance of skin. It can help brighten and stimulate new skin growth.
Vitamin E - reduces UV-induced free radical damage to the skin. It also protects cells against the effects of free radicals which are formed as by-products of the body’s metabolic processes.
Coenzyme Q10, Q-MAX - vital to production of energy within cells. It is also a very powerful antioxidant or free radical scavenger. can penetrate the cell layers of the skin and may attenuate the depth of wrinkles due to photo aging, as well as epithelial cell turnover.
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C) - very stable, oil soluble vitamin C ester. Has excellent skin penetration and as a result offers increased cell protection against UV-B. The skin cell viability is increased up to 30% when compared with l-ascorbic acid. Can improve appearance of aged and fragile skin. Widely used as add-on ingredient in skin-lightening products to correct hyperpigmentation and age spots.
Caprylic Capric Triglyceride - non-greasy and light weight. It comes in the form of an oily liquid and mainly works as an emollient, dispersing agent and solvent. is an emollient ester and similar to plant oils since it has an oily texture, but is much more light weight and far less greasy. It has a dry, silky oil, feel that is almost powdery because it is still present on the skin but not greasy.
Apricot Kernel Oil - help moisturize, improve appearance of skin, and been said to help with mature skin.
Substitutions;
substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions. these substitution suggestions are just suggestions and have not been tested to work.
Bakuchi Oil - no sub. If you have an oil soluble retinol you could use that, but this product should only be used at night if it has retinol.
Papaya Oil - cucumber seed oil has brightening benefits so I think it would be a good alternative, but you can use any oil you'd like.
Watermelon Oil - any oil you would like.
Rosehip Seed Oil - any oil you would like.
FSS Lemon Oil - no sub
Vitamin E - no sub, but you can leave out.
Coenzyme Q10, Q-MAX - no sub, but you can leave out.
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C) - no sub. IDK any oil soluble vitamin C's like this one.
Caprylic Capric Triglyceride - any other emollient ester like coco caprylate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, squalane
Apricot Kernel Oil - any plant oil of choice
