After adding in the ICE Hair Restore immediately mix with an Immersion Blender.
Check and adjust pH and pour into desired container.
I poured mine into a plastic bag to pipe into my bottle. I used this 8 oz bottle
Benefits of Each Ingredient;
Glycerin - Humectant (hydrates the skin)
Plant Keratin - The main protein that makes up your hair skin and nails. Keratin can help strengthen hair, protect hair, and enhance elasticity.
Bamboo Extract - Has good moisturizing properties. The bamboo stems are high in silica deposits which give smoothness, shininess and strength to hair
Hydrolyzed Quinoa Protein - helps protect hair strands and hair color. Helps increase barrier function and overall health. Increases shine and appearance of hair. Is a film former and helps moisturize hair just like other proteins.
DL panthenol - aka vitamin B5. Is a humectant that hydrates the hair and skin. Can help increase shine and elasticity in hair.
Liquid Germall Plus - Preservative
Luxglide N350 - a natural silicone alternative. I bought it from wholesalesuppliesplus.com, but they no longer sell it. See substitutes below.
Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - emollient that moisturizes hair.
ICE Hair Restore - this is the main hair conditioning ingredient, this is also emulsifying the water and oil together and is thickening it into the creamy consistency.
Substitutes;
Plant Keratin - Hydrolyzed Keratin, Vegekeratin, or other use water here
Bamboo Extract - any botanical extract of choice.
Hydrolyzed Quinoa Protein - Any hydrolyzed protein of choice or use water
DL panthenol - leave out and use water instead. No substitute.
Liquid Germall Plus - any water soluble broad spectrum preservative of choice. e.g. Euxyl PE 9010, Opiphen Plus, Euxyl K 903, Euxyl K 900, Preservative Eco, Geogard 221, Just make sure you are adjusting the products pH properly.
Luxglide N350 - Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Natrasil, Neossance Hemisqualane or other silicone or silicone alternative
Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - any emollient ester like Squalane, Coco Caprylate/Caprate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, or light plant oil of choice.
ICE Hair Restore - you could use BTMS 50 instead, but you would need to separate the oil and water phase and heat both phases. So it is no longer a cold process product. You would also need to add in a fatty alcohol like Cetyl Alcohol along with the BTMS 50.
Let’s Talk About ICE Hair Restore
ICE Hair Restore is a cold process cationic emulsifier. Cationic Ingredients are conditioning. They are the main ingredient in hair conditioners that condition and detangle hair.

My personal Opinion on ICE Hair Restore
I love formulating with this ingredient! It is so easy to use and creates such gorgeous emulsions. The emulsions look so smooth and glossy. This stuff also makes such an amazing detangler. I am able to comb right through my hair with no issues after conditioning my hair with this stuff. Unfortunately it leaves this weird coat on my hair that feels like product build up. I definitely think it adds volume and structure to my hair like it claims, but it leaves this residue on my hair that I just can’t get over. I do think that someone else might love this stuff, so try it out and please let me know what you think of it.
