Lip Exfoliating Stick - Natural vs Advanced Formula

Natural Lip Scrub Stick Formula;

Phase A

• 14% Candelilla Wax

• 44.5% Caprylic Capric Triglyceride

• 10% Shea Butter

  
  

Phase B

• 0.5% Vitamin E (T50)

• 1% Mixed Berry Flavor Oil

• 30% White Granulated Sugar

  
  

Directions; 

1. Combine all ingredients in phase A in a heat safe container and place in a water bath to melt everything. (A water bath is a pan filled with an inch or so of water. Place your pan on your Stove Top on medium heat.) I used a hot plate.

   

2. Once everything has melted you can remove from heat and immediately mix in the Vitamin E & flavor oil.  

3. Now you can pour in the sugar, mix, and quickly pour into your tubes. I used these lip balm tubes. 

   

Tip - Work quickly or else it will start to solidify and you will not be able to pour it in your tubes. I also don’t recommend going over 30% sugar, or else it will be to thick to pour.

How to use;

Gently rub on lips in circular motions & rinse or wipe off excess.

Phase A

• 0.5 grams Vitamin E (T50)

• 1 gram Mixed Berry Flavor Oil

Benefits / Uses of Ingredients;

Candelilla Wax - Hardener 

Shea Butter - emollient that adds a natural scent of chocolate. Helps moisturize lips and thicken lip scrub.

Caprylic Capric Triglyceride - lightweight emollient 

Vitamin E (T50) - antioxidant & helps keep the natural oil and butter fresh longer

White Granulated Sugar - Exfoliant 

Substitutes;

Candelilla Wax  - any wax of choice, Beeswax, Carnauba Wax, Sunflower Wax. 

Cocoa Butter Shea Butter - any butter of choice.

Caprylic Capric Triglyceride - any oil of choice.

Vitamin E (T50) - you can leave out

White Granulated Sugar - any sugar of choice

• 7% Microcrystalline Wax Pastilles

• 7% Candelilla Wax

• 10% Hydrogenated Polyisobutene

• 10% Octyldodecanol

• 6% Polybutene

• 5% Castor Oil

• 5% Shea Butter 

• 18.5% Caprylic Capric Triglyceride

• 1% Mixed Berry Flavor Oil

• 30% White Granulated Sugar
