12 grams. Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride
Directions;
In a Sanitized Container, combine all ingredients in phase A, mixing until the Aloe Vera Powder 100x dissolves.
Sprinkle the Sepimax Zen on top of phase A, be sure to not mix it in. Cover container with plastic wrap and let sit to hydrate. I let mine sit overnight.
The next day you can remove the plastic wrap and mix until you get a smooth gel.
In a separate heat safe sanitized container, combine all ingredients in phase C and cover with aluminum foil and place in a water bath to melt. (A water bath is a pan filled with an inch or so of water. Place your pan on your Stove Top on medium heat.)
Once the menthol crystals are dissolved you can remove from heat.
Let cool until around 40°C/100°F then pour phase C into phase A/B and mix.
I poured my product into a plastic bag so I could squeeze it into these containers.

Aloe Vera Powder 100x - Moisturizing & soothing ingredient
Sepimax Zen / Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6 - gelling agent and emulsifiers. It is what keeps the Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride mixed into all the water soluble ingredients.
Menthol Crystals - the “active” ingredient that helps relieve pain.
Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - is the solvent for the Menthol Crystals. Menthol Crystals are only soluble in either oils or alcohols. So I dissolved the Menthol Crystals in Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride and used the Sepimax Zen to emulsify the Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride into the formula. Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride is also an emollient.
Substitutions;
substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions. these substitution suggestions are just suggestions and have not been tested to work.
Liquid Germall Plus - Euxyl PE 9010 or Opiphen Plus or other water soluble preservative.
Green Tea Extract - any other botanical extract of choice or you can leave out.
Aloe Vera Powder 100x - aloe vera extract, aloe concentrate, aloe vera liquid, or any other cosmetic grade aloe.
Menthol Crystals - No substitute.
Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - any light oil of choice. C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, isopropyl myristate (IPM), Isohexadecane, Coco Caprylate/Caprate, Sunflower Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil or any other emollient ester or light oil of choice.
