Simple Under Eye Patch 100 Gram Recipe

Phase A

92.5 grams Distilled Water

Phase B

2 grams Euxyl K 900 INCI; Benzyl Alcohol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin

10 grams Glycerin

Directions;

  • In a heat safe sanitized container add in the distilled water and heat to 90°C. (You won’t be able to get it to 90°C using a water bath, you will need a Hot Plate

  • Once it reaches 90°C you can add in the Agar Agar Powder and mix.

  • Set a time for 5 minutes and come back periodically to mix to help dissolve.

  • While phase A is heating for 5 minutes you can work on phase B.

  • In a sanitized container mix together both ingredients in phase B and set aside until needed.

  • Once phase A has boiled at  90°C for 5 minutes you can turn off the heat & add in phase B as long as it’s below 100°C

  • Once everything is mixed together you can let it cool for a bit. Don’t let it cool for too long or it will start gelling, but letting it sit for 5 minutes or a bit longer, should be fine. It will be boiling hot, so you need to let it cool for a bit or else it will be really hard to pour into your molds

  • Once you are able to fill your molds you can either pour the product directly into the molds or use a Pipette to make it easier to fill the molds.

  • Let cool overnight, it doesn’t need refrigerated, room temperature should be fine. Then the next day you can remove them from the molds or leave them in the mold until you are ready to use them.

How to Add Color

Use Water Soluble Colorants only. My favorites are the ones from WholesaleSuppliesPlus.com

To make Under Eye Patches Opaque add in 0.1% Titanidum Dioxide

Brightening Storage Serum 100 Gram Recipe

Phase A

1 gram Euxyl K 900 INCI; Benzyl Alcohol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin

5 grams Glycerin

Phase B

83.5 grams Distilled Water

2 grams Niacinamide

2 grams DL Panthenol

Phase C

0.5 grams Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C)

0.5 grams Vitamin E

Directions;

  • In a sanitized container, combine all ingredients in phase A and mix.

  • Then add in all ingredients in phase B in order, mixing after each one making sure it is fully dissolved if it is a powder. Make sure you add sepimax zen last and sprinkle it on top of your water phase and do not mix.

  • Cover with plastic wrap and let it sit over night. (Usually it can take a couple hours or up to 8 hours to fully hydrate into a gel)

  • After it has fully hydrated you should have a clear gel.

  • Now you can add in the ingredients in phase C. The gel should turn opaque after adding in phase C.

  • Check and adjust pH to 4.5 - 5.5

  • Use this as the storage serum for your under eye gel patches or as a face serum.

How to !tore Under Eye Patches

I took a 4 oz jar and put a small scoop of the storage serum on the bottom and then put one set of under eye patches on top. Then I put a single scoop of storage serum on top of those under eye patches and placed another set of eye patches on top of those. I continued doing this by putting another scoop of storage serum on top of those eye patches along with another set of eye patches on top of that and continued doing this until the jar was full.

This was so much easier to do compared to last time because they weren’t as fragile.

Another method of storage, is you could keep the eye patches in their molds and pour some of the storage serum on top of the under eye patches and store them in a plastic bag or a Mylar Bags
