How to Make Jelly Perfume Balm - Inspired by Sol de Janeiro

Formula;

Phase A

74.5% Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride
20% Polyamide 8
Optional: mica for color

Phase B (cool down)

5% Fragrance Oil
0.5% Vitamin E Acetate

Directions;

In a heat safe sanitized container, combine both ingredients in phase A and mica, if using. Heat using either a hot plate, or a water bath (Fill a pan with about an inch or so of water and place it over your stove top on medium heat.) mix periodically to help melt.
Once everything is melted, removed from heat and let cool.
This product solidifies quickly, so you need to work fast. Add in your fragrance oil once it is under the flashpoint of your fragrance oil then add in the Vitamin E and mix.
Pour into desired tube. I used these empty roll up lip balm containers.

Cheirosa 40 Fragrance Oil - colored w/ Baku Red Mica (true red)

Cheirosa 68 Fragrance Oil - colored w/ Pink Mica Ballet Slippers

Fragrance Oil - scent
Vitamin E Acetate - antioxidant

Substitutes;

Keep in mind that these are just suggestions. Formula may not hold up as well, but may still hold up enough for DIY personal use. Use only cosmetic grade ingredients.

Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - any oil of choice, light weight oil with long shelf life like jojoba oil, meadowfoam seed oil, squalene, etc works best.
Polyamide 8 - polyamide 3
Fragrance Oil - any fragrance oil of choice.
Vitamin E Acetate - can leave out
