Directions;

  1. In a clean sanitized container, combine all ingredients in phase A in order mixing in-between each addition and making sure to dissolve the DL panthenol.

  2. In another clean sanitized container, combine all ingredients in phase B and mix. The Blue Tansy Oil and Turmeric Infused Oil is optional. I only added those to make the product look green for a natural color.

  3. Mix well before pouring in desired bottles.

pH adjusting - check and adjust pH of water phase before pouring in the oil phase. Do test batches first to see how much oH adjuster you need for your formula. The natural pH of my product was 8.5 and I added 2 drops of a 50% dilution of Citric Acid to lower pH to 5.5. I plan on using this on my face, not on the eye area. Eye area products are recommended to be in a pH around, 7-7.5 So if using on eyes, adjust pH accordingly. Make sure you use eye safe preservatives. I have a preservative cheat sheet you can use to find out which ones are eye area safe. 


How to use;

Soak a cotton pad with product and gently swipe onto skin. Press and hold pad for a few seconds on trouble areas. Rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with your favorite cleanser or leave on skin and use as a no rinse micellar water.

Benefits / Uses of Ingredients;


Glycerin - helps hydrate and draw moisture to skin. (Learn all about Humectants HERE)


Propanediol - helps hydrate and draw moisture to skin.


Geogard ECT (INCI: Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid) - Ecocert Natural pH that is also Eye Area safe. Do not use in eye products like Eye drops though 


Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside - gentle and mild ecocert and natural surfactant. 


Distilled Water - Diluent 


DL panthenol - Vitamin B5 hydrates and strengthens skin. 


Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate (TSGD) - Ecocert Chelating Agent. (Learn all about Chelating Agents HERE)


Caprylic Carpric Triglyceride - non greasy light weight emollient great for dissolving makeup.


Squalane - non greasy light weight emollient that is similar to skins natural sebum. Helps dissolve makeup. 


FSS LipoSolve (INCI: Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate; Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate; Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate; Polyglyceryl-6 Ricinoleate) - This ingredient helps with dissolving and removing dirt and makeup from the skin. It also helps solublize oil into the water just long enough for application. We don’t want it to stay mixed together, we want it to separate overtime.


Turmeric Infused Oil - for color 


Blue Tansy Oil - for color




Substitutes;

Glycerin - any other humectant of choice, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Lactate etc.



Geogard ECT (INCI: Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid) - Phenonip XB, (this is eye safe) if you don’t care for eye safe any broad spectrum preservative will work.


Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside - PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides , Coco Glucoside, Decyl Glucoside, you can try any other mild and gentle surfactants. Do small test batches and patch test skin. If skin gets irritated, you can wash off. Works fine as a wash off micellar water too.


Distilled Water - Rose Hydrosol, Lavender Hydrosol or cosmetic grade aloe vera liquid.


DL panthenol - no sub you can leave out.





FSS LipoSolve (INCI: Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate; Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate; Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate; Polyglyceryl-6 Ricinoleate) - Poly Suga®Mulse D9, Polyglyceryl-3 Oleate, you can play around with solubilizer you have to see what works for you.


Turmeric Infused Oil - not necessary you can leave out.


Blue Tansy Oil - not necessary you can leave out.
