Most ingredients are NOT considered “Natural” or Ecocert. There is no way for me to change this formula to a natural or Ecocert compliant formula.

Batch size calculator for the recipe is attached at the bottom of page along with the PDF blog you can print.
Formula;
Phase A
Phase B
10% Propanediol
Phase C
25.6% Distilled Water
0.3% Disodium EDTA
0.4% PolyMulse Polymeric Emulsifier (INCI; Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer)
Phase D
5% Glycerin
Phase E
2% Petrolatum (Petroleum Jelly)
1% Mineral Oil
2% Shea Butter
Phase F
3% pH Buffer (10% Sodium Hydroxide Dilution) *Raises the pH
1% Distilled Water
1% Niacinamide
1% Tripeptide-29 (FSS Collagen Peptide)
1% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C)
1.2% Euxyl K 903 (INCI: Benzyl Alcohol (and) Benzoic Acid (and) Dehydroacetic Acid (and) Tocopherol)
0.5% Vitamin E
1% Marshmallow Creme Fragrance Oil
Directions;
In a sanitized heat safe container, combine all ingredients in phase A.
In a separate sanitized heat safe container, combine all ingredients in phase B.
In another separate sanitized heat safe container, combine all ingredients in phase C. Add in the Disodium EDTA first to dissolve. Then add in the PolyMulse Polymeric Emulsifier. The PolyMulse Polymeric Emulsifier won’t dissolve fully, so give it a couple pulses with an Immersion Blender.
In another separate sanitized heat safe container, combine all ingredients in phase D and mix. Then pour into phase C while mixing. The solution should thicken.
In another separate sanitized heat safe container, combine all ingredients in phase E.
You should now have 4 beakers. Phase A, Phase B Phase C/D and Phase E. Cover all beakers with foil and place in a water bath. (A water bath is a pan filled with an inch or so of water. Place your pan on your Stove Top on medium heat.)
Once the Salicylic Acid in Phase B has dissolved and Phase A is clear and fully combined, you can remove both phases from heat and pour phase B into phase A and mix.
Once everything is melted in phase E you can remove phase C/D and pour phase E into phase C/D and mix with an Immersion Blender. You should now have a lotion like texture.
Next pour phase A/B into your phase C/D/E and mix with an Immersion Blender. You will notice the product separates and thins out with you add phase A/B into C/D/E. This is due to the Salicylic Acid having a low pH. It lowers the pH of the entire product and thins it.
Next add in your pH adjuster. I am using a 10% dilution of Sodium Hydroxide to raise the pH to 4. You can use whatever pH adjuster of choice, just make sure it raises the pH to 4.
Mix with an Immersion Blender and everything emulsifies back together and thickens up.
Set to the side to let cool to 40°C/104°F
In the meantime grab another sanitized container and combine ingredients in phase F starting with the Distilled water, Niacinamide, & Tripeptide-29. You want to combine these first to dissolve the niacinamide.
Next you can add in the rest of the ingredients (you should have already added you pH adjuster)
Once your Body Wash has cooled to 40°C/104°F or under you can pour in you phase F ingredients and mix.
Cover & let sit overnight.
The next day, check the pH and do any final pH adjusting that is needed and pour into bottle of choice. You can use any Water Soluble Dyes to color the body wash.
I used this bottle HERE (300 ml Pink Pump Bottle)
Benefits/Uses of Ingredients;
Cocamidopropyl Betaine - Amphoteric Surfactant. Helps boost lather and foam and help create more creamy gentle lather.
Sodium Cocoyl Methyl Taurate - Anionic Surfactant. Helps produce lather and cleanses the skin.
Salicylic Acid - BHA that helps exfoliate skin and clear complexion and acne.
Propanediol - helps dissolve Salicylic Acid is also a humectant that hydrates the skin
Distilled Water - Diluent
Glycerin - Humectant (Hydrates skin)
Disodium EDTA - Helps stabilize formula and boost preservative. Read more about Chelating Agents HERE
Petroleum Jelly - Occlusive that helps lock moisture into the skin.
Mineral Oil - emollient
Shea Butter - emollient
Glyceryl Oleate - a re-fatting agent and can be found in our hair lipids and skin lipids. It can help improve surfactant systems by subsiding the drying effect that can sometimes occur. Makes surfactant systems more soft, conditioning luxurious, and gentle.
PolyMulse Polymeric Emulsifier - emulsifier that helps keep the oil from separating from the water.
pH Buffer (10% Sodium Hydroxide Dilution) - Raises the pH to activate the PolyMulse Polymeric Emulsifier and to make the product safe to use since the Salicylic acid also lowers the pH.
Niacinamide - Vitamin B3
Tripeptide-29 (FSS Collagen Peptide) -
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C)
Euxyl K 903 (INCI: Benzyl Alcohol (and) Benzoic Acid (and) Dehydroacetic Acid (and) Tocopherol) - Preservative (Ecocert)
Vitamin E - Antioxidant
Marshmallow Creme Fragrance Oil - Scent
