How to Make a Salty Menthol Foot Scrub

Formula

Phase A

Phase B

1,000 Gram Batch

Phase A

Phase B

Directions;

  • Combine all ingredients in phase A in a heat safe bowl. I used this Large Glass Mixing Bowl

  • Place bowl in a water bath to melt everything together. (A water bath is a pan filled with an inch or so of water. Place your pan on your Stove Top on medium heat.)

  • Come back and mix periodically to help melt everything.

  • Once everything is melted remove from heat.

  • Thesis the time you can add in your mica powder for coloring

  • Before working on phase B, put on a Respirator

  • Start phase B by adding in the Silica Dimethyl Silylate first. It will act like it doesn’t want to mix it, but if you keep mixing it will eventually mix in. It might be clumpy, but it will smooth out over time. Go ahead and add in the rest of the ingredient in phase B, adding in the Sugar and Salt last. You can do a blend of both sugar and salt, or just sugar or just salt. I did a blend of both. I used White Granulated Sugar and Epsom Salt.

Benefits of Each Ingredient;
